Our organization sent nearly 20 participants. Each one came to me to explain how they appreciated the affirmation and building up they received. There is great value in participating in a larger body of people that are working together for a common cause. Meal times were filled with sharing stories and networking with others that are doing the same work. I will never forget the lessons taught. The speaker that year was Andy Merritt, and his message spoke to me personally and as a leader. The outpouring of this conference greatly helped me to continue to pour out blessings and encouragement to the people I lead. For a minimal investment, our organization was blessed exponentially from our broad participation.
